Round 1 - Habs Eliminate Boston
Round 1 - Habs Eliminate Boston: I was asked last week if the hockey spirit that lives so loudly in this city had affected (infected) me yet. It had not. But I must say that the close quarters of Montreal truly brings the city together in a situation like the playoffs. I did not watch the game, but while barbecuing dinner and packing for a trip I was able to keep score and knew at the end of the second period that it was 3-0 for Montreal. Up and down the alley and all along the streets you could hear the people watching and being affected by the game. It is something that I have never experienced before and it is quite exciting. As the Habs go further into the playoffs (and I truly hope they do) I will make a stronger effort to get closer to the streets and really get into the spirit. By the end I may even watch a game or 2!
Claire is of the opinion that the flag with the big C on it and a lot of people cheering and hollering is all for her Birthday! Happy Birthday Sugar!
